INEC Declares Hon Kallamu as Winner of Mayo-Belwa Rerun Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission known as INEC has declared the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Hon Musa Mahmud Kallamu as winner of the just concluded Mayo-Belwa Constituency rerun election in Adamawa State.

The election held today 3rd February 2023 across 7 units within Mbilla, Gengle, and Yoffo Ward under MayoBelwa Constituency.

Camaamedia correspondent gathered in the INEC Declaration that Hon kallamu pulled 1,306 votes to beat his All Progressives Congress (APC) opponent, Hon Italiya who pulled 874 votes.

Although APC was leading with 72 votes before the rerun, which was deducted from 432 votes margin the margin. The total margin is now h360 votes.

Recall that Hon Musa Mahmud Kallamu Challenged the election of Hon Musa Ibrahim Italiya in court and the case went in his favor when the appeal court judges declared the election inconclusive and therefore ordered a rerun in 7 pulling units across 3 wards of the constituency.
