Hunters In Taraba State Urges To Support Security Agencies

Hunters in Taraba state have been urged to collaborate with security agencies to strengthen security measures in the state.

The chairman, Taraba State Special Task Force Committee on Environmental Protection, Public Safety, and Prohibition of Deforestation retired General Jeremiah Faransa, made the plea during a meeting with the Hunters Association of Garba Ched, in Bali local government council.
Faransa called on local hunters to demonstrate honesty and dedication in their duties, stressed the need for increased vigilance in the area and the state at large, lamented that criminal activities pose a serious threat to the lives and property of residents across the 16 local government areas in the state.
“Lives and properties of the people of the state have really been threatened by criminal elements across the 16 local government councils.
“I am calling on all our hunters to work in synergy with the security agencies in the state for sustainable security measures,” he said.
He reminded the public that the executive order suspending mining activities, aimed at curbing illegal deforestation and mining activities in the state remains in effect.
