At a press conference held in Yola, Saturday, January 10, 2026, the group’s State Coordinator, Mr. Joseph Mwadiyale, outlined a clear agenda aimed at dismantling perceptions of religious exclusivity within the party and promoting broader participation.
Mwadiyale stated that the formation of the group is a direct response to a persistent “misconception in some quarters that the APC is a party meant for only one religious group.” He emphasized that this perception, particularly within some Christian communities, has negatively impacted trust and engagement.
“APC is a national party, built on the principles of inclusiveness, justice, fairness, and equal opportunity for all Nigerians—regardless of religion, ethnicity, or background of any sort,” Mwadiyale declared, asserting that the group’s objective is to correct this narrative.
He outlined the core mandates of the new body as promoting internal party unity, encouraging active participation of Christian youths in APC affairs,bridging communication gaps between the party and Christian communities, correcting misinformation through proactive engagement and dialogue.
“We are not here to divide the party along religious lines, but rather to strengthen it through inclusion, understanding, and collective responsibility,” he clarified.
The Coordinator commended the existing APC leadership in Adamawa State for their recognition and support of the group, calling it “a strong demonstration that APC remains a party for all.”
However, he respectfully called for greater inclusion of Christian youths in party programmes, decision-making processes, and leadership development initiatives, citing their energy, education, and readiness to serve.
Mwadiyale made a direct appeal to Christian youths across the state to “embrace the APC, participate actively, and reject the narrative of exclusion.”
He also seized the moment to promote the ongoing nationwide APC e-membership registration, urging both existing members to validate their status and new members—Christians and Muslims alike—to enroll en masse.
He linked the registration drive to the broader national agenda, describing the APC as “the only political party under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s led administration working assiduously to place Nigeria on the league of world’s developed nations.”
The launch signals a strategic effort by the APC in Adamawa to consolidate its grassroots base across religious demographics ahead of future electoral cycles.
