Fintiri Promises 6km Road, Electricity Extension in Hong LGA

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has announced the construction of a six-kilometre road and the extension of electricity to several communities in Hong Local Government Area, as part of his administration’s ongoing commitment to even development across the state.

The Governor made the disclosure while addressing a large crowd of residents at the premises of Government Secondary School, Hong. The event was part of his ongoing statewide tour to assess projects and interface with communities.

Governor Fintiri assured the people of Hong that the new road project, along with the recently established Science and Technology Secondary School in the area, would be completed and officially commissioned before the end of 2026.

In addition to infrastructure, the Governor pledged his administration’s commitment to revitalizing the water supply system in the area, promising improved access to potable water for residents.

According to him, the statewide tour is designed to offer a first-hand assessment of his administration’s performance in project execution and to identify other pressing needs of the people, with a view to deploying additional resources where necessary.

He expressed gratitude for the continued support of the people of Hong and reiterated his dedication to delivering people-oriented projects that directly impact their welfare.

The Senator representing Adamawa Central in the National Assembly, Aminu Iya Abbas, while speaking at the event commended the Governor’s developmental strides, noting that Hong has enjoyed increased government presence under the current administration.

The Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, and the Commissioner for Education, Dr. Umar Garba Pella,in their remarks lauded Governor Fintiri for siting key development projects in the area. They assured him of their continued support and loyalty.

In a move to boost the local economy, Governor Umaru Fintiri later commissioned a newly constructed grain market in Hong. The market is expected to enhance commercial activities and serve as a hub for economic growth in the area.
