Haj Lami Fintiri, other northern governors’ wives, participate in tree planting in Gombe school

In a collaborative effort to bolster environmental sustainability and combat climate change, the wives of northern state governors converged at the Government Mega Girls College (GGMC) in Doma, Gombe state, to plant trees. Led by Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Fintiri, the esteemed spouse of the Adamawa State Governor, the event was organized in partnership with Agri-Climate Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscape (ACReSAL).

Recall that Camaa Tv had earlier reported the gathering of the Northern Governors’ Wives holding in Gombe state. Among the 19 norther governors wives, 14 Governors wives were in Gombe state for a 2 days quarterly meeting and stakeholders engagement on drug abuse and commissioning of NDLEA rehabilitation centers.

The initiative, which saw the participation of several prominent figures, aimed to safeguard the future of plants and promote ecological balance. Speaking at the event, Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Fintiri underscored the pivotal role of tree planting in mitigating climate change effects and preserving wildlife habitats.

Expressing her commitment to the cause, Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Fintiri articulated her readiness to replicate the initiative in Adamawa State, emphasizing the importance of enhancing environmental health for future generations.

The tree planting event not only symbolizes a proactive step towards environmental stewardship but also signifies the collective determination of northern governors’ wives to foster sustainable practices for a greener and healthier tomorrow.
