Guyuk: HRH Nunguraya host 2nd edition of Lunguda traditional wrestling
Culture has been described as an embodiment of peace that promotes development in all strata of life.
Kwandi Nuguraya, His Royal Highness, Kuruhaye Dishon Dansanda the secon made the assertion during the second edition of the Lunguda traditional wrestling competition and cultural display which took place in Guyuk Amidst fanfare on Saturday.
Kwandi Nuguraya then called on all sons and daughters of his kingdom to sustain their cultural heritage, noted that culture contribues to the promotion of peaceful coexistence and enhance family values and economic development.
Kwandi Nuguraya expressed concern over the current hardship and economic challenges facing the citizens, adding that it requires prayers and support to the Nation.
He thanked the Governor of Adamawa State Ahmafu Umaru Fintiri for encouraging peacefull coexistence in the state.
The kwandi Nuguraya appreciated the Organizers of the programme especially youths for maturity understanding and exhibiting sportsmanship throughout the competition.
All the eleven District from Guyuk Local Government took part in the festival with Chikila District emerged the First position, followed by Banjiram district second position.
Among those that grace the occasion include Murum Mbula Alhamdu Gladson Teneke and Amna Shelleng Abdullah Isa Dashong.
