Governor Fintiri Signs Law For Creation Of 83 New Districts

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has signed the law to repeal and enact new districts in the state.
During signing ceremony at his office at the government house Yola, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said with the signing of the law, 83 new districts will be created in the state, as demanded by the communities, hence the consideration by the state government.

The Governor expressed hope that with the enactment of the new law creating more districts, there are chances that criminal activities will reduce in the state.
The Governor equally announced that henceforth, salaries of district heads and their staff will be coming from the local government councils and will be reviewed from time to time in order to meet up with the present economic realities.
He added that government will continue to answer the request of the people as it remains committed to them and the development of the state as a whole.
Similarly, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has sworn in Mrs Hannatu Kadala as the Chairman, Adamawa State House of Assembly Commission along with four members.
In his remarks during the swearing in, the governor said they were selected base on their competency.
Governor Fintiri called on the Chairman to use her wealth of experience for the betterment of the commission, as he expressed confidence in her ability to be in charge.
He charged them to take the state assembly issues seriously, devoid of any sentiment or interest and ensure fairness to all staff as they remain committed to their duties.
He added that government is ready to assist the Commission in any area of challenges in the discharge of its duties.

In her remarks, the newly sworn in Chairman of the Adamawa State House of Assembly Commission, Mrs. Hannatu Kadala thanked Governor Fintiri for the privilege given to serve the state.
She pledged to deploy her wealth of experience together with other members whom she acknowledged their experiences too, to work within the rules and regulations of the commission for the development of the state.
She called on the staff of the state assembly Commission to be loyal and cooperate with them as they are equally ready to be fair to everybody.
Also, sworn in was Eric Bilala as the adviser to the governor on boundary matters.
The governor asked him to settle down immediately and start addressing some of the boundary issues between local government areas in the state for the purpose of peaceful coexistence.
The oath of office was administered by the Attorney General and Commissioner for justice of the state, Barrister Afraimu Jingi.
