Eid-el-Fitr: Governor’s Wife Calls for Love, Unity Among Nigerians

The wife of Adamawa State Governor, Dr Lami Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has extended her warm felicitations to Muslims across the country on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement issued on Friday by her press secretary Mrs Clara Attah Mustapha, the First Lady urged all citizens to embrace love and unity, describing the celebration as a profound reminder of the values that bind the nation together.

Dr Lami, who is also the founder of the Fresh Air Pro-Life Empowerment Foundation, noted that Eid-el-Fitr serves as a spiritual milestone that reinforces gratitude to Allah while strengthening communal bonds through prayers, charity, family visits, and the exchange of gifts.

“Eid-el-Fitr reminds us that love, sacrifice and tolerance remain the greatest foundations of harmony and mutual coexistence,” she said.

The Governor’s wife called on the faithful to carry the lessons of Ramadan beyond the fasting period, emphasising the importance of spreading joy and kindness to those around them.

“Ramadan Kareem to the Muslim Ummah in Adamawa State and all the faithful across the country celebrating this important feast. As you celebrate, remember that it is about spreading true love and genuine happiness. Let someone around you smile because of you. Let love, kindness and oneness lead. Eid Mubarak to you and your loved ones,” Dr Lami added.

She expressed optimism that the spirit of generosity and compassion demonstrated during Ramadan would continue to inspire peaceful coexistence among Nigerians of all faiths.
