Dr. Umar Ardo Demand Cancellation Of Adamawa Election In Appeal Court

The Adamawa SDP gubernatorial candidate Dr Umar Ardo has filed 16-grounds appeal against judgment of tribunal on 02/10/2023 in Yola. Dr Ardo is Asking the court to nullify the election and order a fresh election in the state.

Today Friday 10/11/2023 the Appeal court sitting in Abuja has listened to the appellant (Dr Ardo and SDP) and has reserved its judgment about the matter. The court is expected to communicate the date to deliver its judgment.

Recall that Dr Ardo was 3rd runner up in the election that held on 18th March 2023 where the election was declared inconclusive after a controversial declaration by the Adamawa REC Barr Hudu-Ari Yunus, declaring the APC Aishatu Binani as winner of the March election.

INEC suspended the rogue REC, Hudu-Ari and later conducted an inconclusive elections on 15th April 2023 where it declared Gov Ahamdu Fintir of PDP as winner of the election.

Dr Ardo said he is confident of winning the case in the Appeal via his Facebook page.
