Combat Proficiency Competition for 3 Division Commences in Adamawa
3 Division Inter- Brigade Combat Proficiency Competition 2024 has kick start with tug-of-war leaving 23 Brigade as the winner of the competition.
The competition begins to end 23 of August 2024 here at the Gibson Jallo Barracks Headquarters 23 Brigade Yola Adamawa State.
The Combat Proficiency Competition which begins with Tug of War hosting 53 commissioned officers comprising 6 formation cut across the 3 Division
General Commanding Officer GOC A.E Abubakar represented by Brig General A.Aminu the trainer 3 Division Training Officer said, the Competition is to foster comradeship amongst participating formations and also to boost the combat readiness and proficiency in line with global best practices.
He noted that the combat proficiency is timely as it is requisite for the officers mentality to perform with higher level of professionalism.
GOC appreciates Lt General Toareed Abiodun Lagbaja for approving the resources to ensure the smooth running of the competition.
The GOC further urges all the participating commissioned officers embrace Esprit De Corp during the completion as they all strive to take the trophies.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri represented by the Secretary to the Adamawa State Government Bar. Auwal Tukur applaud the Nigerian Army for organising the competition as he noted that the readiness of the officers is topnotch.
He calls on the officers to combat peacefully and equip themselves professionally, stated that Nigeria has been bedeviled by unending insecurities issues as he noted that the competition should be an opportunity for training and gallantry.
The Commander 23 Brigade, Brig General PK Zawaya noted that the combat proficiency is timely and will equipped and highly motivate the force towards achieving their constitutional responsibility.
He pointed that the combat will boost the morale of the officers and enhance troops involved in joint operation to curb our insecurity challenges in the Northeast.
