BREAKING: Governor Radda Speaks Out After Surviving Road Crash

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has broken his silence following the road accident that occurred on Sunday evening along the Daura–Katsina expressway.

In a brief live address, Governor Radda assured citizens that he is safe and currently recovering under medical observation at his residence as a precautionary measure.

The accident involved a head-on collision between the governor’s convoy and a Volkswagen Golf vehicle. The incident left the governor, his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abdulkadir Mamman-Nasir, and another close aide with injuries. They were initially treated at the Federal Medical Centre, Daura, before being transferred to the Federal Teaching Hospital in Katsina for further care.

Earlier, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, issued a statement expressing gratitude to the people of Katsina State and Nigerians nationwide for their overwhelming concern and prayers.

In his message, Governor Radda said:

“Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. Dear brothers and sisters of Katsina State and beyond, we are truly touched by your support. By Allah’s will, we were involved in an accident, but Alhamdulillah, we are safe.”

He reiterated that while precautionary observation is ongoing, he remains in stable health and high spirits.

This development comes shortly after the governor participated in the burial of former President Muhammadu Buhari, a somber moment for the nation and the people of Katsina.

Radda’s calm and reassuring tone has been widely praised, with many wishing him continued recovery and strength.
