Adamawa State Government Approves N4 Billion For Mubi-Gela Road Construction

The Adamawa State Government has approved over N4 billion for the construction of the 3.5-kilometre Mubi-Gela road project, reaffirming its commitment to bridging infrastructure gaps across rural and urban areas.

The approval was granted during the State Executive Council meeting held on Wednesday, presided over by the Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta.

Briefing journalists shortly after the meeting, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. James Iliya, disclosed that the project aligns with Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiriโ€™s ongoing development agenda. He noted that the contract has been awarded to Triacta Nigeria Limited, with a completion timeline of 12 months.

Mr. Iliya also used the opportunity to emphasize the importance of the monthly environmental sanitation exercise, urging residents to participate actively, citing its critical role in public health and environmental sustainability.

Speaking further, the Commissioner for Works, Engineer Mohammed Suleiman, explained that the Mubi-Gela road project has been segmented into phases due to the roadโ€™s severely deteriorated condition. He expressed confidence in meeting the 12-month deadline, pointing to the proven track record and technical capacity of the contractor, Triacta Nigeria Limited.

The project is expected to significantly improve transportation, boost economic activity, and enhance the quality of life for communities in the Mubi area upon completion.
