Adamawa State Assembly Members Attend Summit In Kigali, Rwanda

The week-long summit organised for Members of Parliament on Use of ICT, Policy Formulation and Inclusive Governance held in Kigali, Rwanda has been rounded off, with a call on participants to utilise the knowledge acquired to better the lives of their constituents for development of the State.

Speaker, Adamawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley gave the charge while presenting certificates to the lawmakers in Kigali, Rwanda, urged them to meet the yearning and aspirations of the electorates.

“The summit will go a long way in boosting legislative practice and procedures,” he said.

He thanked Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for maintaining cordial working relationship with members, and support to the 8th assembly, noting that the partnership will continue to wax stronger throughout our tenure for the benefits of Adamawa people and overall development of the State.

Some of the awmakers who spoke, appreciated the speaker for his leadership qualities in striving assiduously to prepare his colleagues for competency, people oriented legislature and good governance in Adamawa State.

“The training will go along way in enabling us to provide effective and efficient representation to our various constituents,” the lawmakers said.

Also speaking, the Clerk to the House, Umar Usman Hamidu Laleh commended the speaker for his commitment and zeal towards equipping the Members and management staff with requisite legislative knowledge for optimum performance.
