Adamawa Police Present ₦25.8m to Families of Fallen Officers

The Nigeria Police Force in Adamawa State has disbursed over ₦25.8 million to families of deceased officers as part of its welfare support scheme.

The cheque, amounting to ₦25,849,904.24, was presented to beneficiaries and next-of-kin under the Group Life Assurance and Inspector-General of Police Family Welfare Schemes.

The presentation was carried out by John D. Sendere, Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Administration, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police. The gesture aligns with ongoing welfare initiatives introduced by the Inspector-General of Police, Olajide Adeolu Egbetokun.

Speaking during the event, the DCP conveyed the message of the IGP, emphasizing that the initiative reflects the Force’s commitment to supporting the families of officers who died in active service. He assured that the police would continue to prioritize the welfare of both serving personnel and the families of fallen heroes.

The Command reiterated that such interventions are part of broader efforts to boost morale within the Force and provide financial relief to bereaved families.
