Adamawa Police Operation Shuts Down Kidnapper Hideout, Seizes Weapons

Adamawa police operation successfully raided a notorious hideout in the rugged Holma Mountains, located within Song Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

A joint operation led by the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, in collaboration with local hunters, resulted in a fierce clash with armed kidnappers holed up in the well-guarded camp.

During the operation, one of the suspects was fatally shot, while several others escaped with gunshot wounds. Authorities managed to apprehend a key suspect, Mohammed Sale, and seized a dangerous stash of weapons, including:

One AK-47 rifle
Two homemade firearms
Five rounds of live ammunition for the AK-47
The suspect is currently assisting police with vital information to help further the investigation.

Adamawa’s Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, praised the swift action of the operatives and their local partners for the successful operation and urged continued cooperation to root out criminal activity in Adamawa State.

Authorities have called on local residents to remain vigilant and report any individuals with bullet wounds, as the search continues for those who managed to flee.
