Adamawa Law Maker Hails 2023 Presidential Tribunal Judgement
The member representing Guyuk constituency in the State House of Assembly, Sunday Peter has described the verdict of the just concluded Presidential tribunal which upheld the election of president Bola Tinubu as the duly elected president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as sound and credible.
The law marker stated this when he appeared on Camaa Television political program, “Political Affairs” he said the judges explained in detailed before passing the judgement, describing the decision of the judges as the best in the history of the Nigerian democracy.
He said, the aggrieved parties, have failed to proved their allegations of rigging in fovour of President Tinubu and called on them to join hands with the president in order to move the country forward.
Speaking on the conduct of the election, Sunday described the election as the most peaceful, credible and fair, according to him, the elections were not characterised by crisis and massive protests when compared to the previous elections in Nigeria.
” Look at the Labour Party and New Nigerian People’s Party, that were not known coming to win many seats including governors, I think the election is very credible,” he said.
When asked about the credibility of the local governments election, he said until an independent body conducts local governments polls, the state governors would continue to always have their ways.
The State law maker believes that, for the local governments to operates maximally, they must be given full autonomy to operate.
