Adamawa GSM marketers urges Fintiri to reconsider relocating shopping complex

In an exclusive interview with camaa TV, some of the shops owner in Jimeta Shopping complex express dissatisfaction over the policy calling on government to consider the situation of the country at this trial period.

On behave of members the chairman Adamawa state GSM marketers association Faisal loko expressed dissatisfaction over the reform, calling on the local and state government to consider the jobless youth’s that are benefiting from that market, in addition he advice state government to grant them official circular for them to prepare.

Commenting on the matter Pastor Robeson urged government to take data of the shops owners before embarking on the projects to ensure everyone regain their shops to avoid political and family affairs syndrome after the projects.


He commended Governor Fintiri for taking a giant stride in reducing crime in Adamawa.

On his part Hon. Ussaini Bala Ganu advice government to consider thousands of youths that are benefiting from this market directly or indirectly, he said that Jimeta shopping had reduce crime in Jimeta adamawa state capital to the bearable minimum. Calling on youths to be calm and be law abiding.

In a similar call Ahmed shetima Bama auditor GSM association Adamawa has called on youths not take law in their hands.
He urge government to do Justice to this matter to ensure that the interest of youths is protected In order not to crime cause the policy will render many youths jobless.

This is following a circular notice dated 15th March 2024 circulating on media. The letter said “The local government through ministry of commerce, trade and industry, was mandated by the Governor of Adamawa State to relocate the entire traders of Jimeta Shopping Complex to Gambo Jimeta Mordern Motor Park (Falluja).

The letter further said “.. council has approved the revocation of all allocations in the market and motor park with immediate effect, as work on site will commence soon”

The latter is signed by Nasiru Hammajoda Executive Secretary Yola North LGA.
